Semifinale i Ikast

Dagens semifinale i Ikast var lige så nervepirrende, som teksten fra ISF's hjemmeside vidner om:

"Denmark-France 18-17 (10-8)The French team was more than ready from the beginning. They looked very strong, creating an early lead of several goals. At that time the situation seemed a bit hopeless for the Danes. But the Danish Vikings succeeded in getting back in the game. A strong defence and and a strong offensive made the difference. They kept the French from scoring in the end of the first half, which made a lead to the Danes of two goals as the second half started.
What Goes Up, Must Come Down! The second half saw the two teams being pretty even again, but just 10 minutes before the final “horn”, the Danish goalkeeper was like a wall who was almost impossible to break through. This gave the Danes a lead of 4 goals. Still, it was not over yet. The French came back strongly and with 30 seconds left, it was a tie, 17-17. The Danes had the ball with only 45 second to go. After a time-out, the Danes showed that they were on the top, and scored just 14 seconds before the last whistle. Scenes of jubilation among the Danes. Tears of frustration among the French. Applaud widespread in the handball-loving audience. This was a match with no losers!"

Det var en rigtig herrekamp! Vi krydser fingre til finalen mod Tyskland i morgen
